This 1950’s era supper is in my Grandmother’s collection of recipes. This was Adam’s choice and my first time making it! Hope y’all enjoy 🙂

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 tbsp melted butter
3 large tomatoes peeled or 1 lg can tomatoes
2 tsp seasoning salt
1 chopped onion
1 cup uncooked rice
1 1/2 cups water (use 1 cup if can tomatoes)

Brown beef and onion in butter, stir in rice. Add tomatoes, salt, and water. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until rice is tender. Add more water if needed.
