The challenge was to create a dish that fuses Filipino and Puerto Rican flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques. I was pleasantly surprised with what we came up with. I cooked Filipino-style homemade banana ketchup to pair with Damaris’s sautéed beef in sofrito over avocado halves.
Definitely had a great time creating this wonderful meal, especially because of the common thread between the Philippines and Puerto Rico.
