Odisha has many unique recipes while some of them are much similar to South Indian and West Indian recipes. Here’s a collection of Cuttack’s special recipes including Chakuli Pitha, Traditional Dahibara, Mixture, Modified Dahibara, and Ghee Tea.
Kolkata Road Trip Episode: 10
In Cuttack (in Odisha), they have their own version of curd vada (which they call as dahi bara). It is apt to call this a buttermilk vada, since they use buttermilk as the base instead of curd. We also enjoyed dhoddali (Chakuli Pitha or our Ramassery idli), Cuttack’s famous mixture, and ghee tea. Thank you @Rohit Srivastava for giving us such a wonderful food tour in Cuttack.

I am so sorry to say that I couldn’t track the price of items and locations that we enjoyed on the streets of Cuttack. I will try to get the details and update them soon.
However, the places that we visited on that day were:
1. Chakuli Mausi, Cuttack
Location Map: https://goo.gl/maps/FHkFWGPJteeMskbm9
Chakuli Mausi sells Chakuli Pitha in Cuttack. Chakuli pitha is much similar to ramassery idli of Kerala and thatte idli of Karnataka. With the spicy chutney, it is one of the best breakfasts that you can enjoy in Cuttack.
2. Punia Bhai Aludum Dahibara, Cuttack
Location Map: https://goo.gl/maps/7pwsqZoQySFaWCTJ8
Punia Bhai makes Dahibara at his home. He has a small cattle farm and he uses milk from his farm to make dahi (curd). Cuttack’s famous dahibara is prepared from buttermilk. They also combine aludum and ghugni to dahibara making it unique.
3. Mixture shop
The shop is famous for selling mixtures. I do not have the location map and other details of this shop, sorry.
4. Kuna Tuna Dahibara Stall, Cuttack
Location Map: https://goo.gl/maps/XqziKUsTkcCKZKwp9
He sells a modern version of dhahibara with some mixtures as toping. His shop is extremely crowded and close to the famous Barabati stadium in Cuttack.
5. Munna Tea Stall
He sells tea with ghee and milk. His shop is also close to Barabati stadium in Cuttack.
