Undoubtedly one of Goas most famous dishes. The chicken cafreal is ever-famous but not everyone knows its origin and the truth behind it. This is my take on the legendary chicken cafreal and how it came into existence. Do check out the video, i hope you will enjoy it.

Ingredients

Chicken – 500 grams
Green chillies – 2 to 3 nos
Fresh coriander – 1 tea cup
Mint leaves – 2 table spoons
Garlic flakes – 5 to 6 nos
Ginger – 1 inch in size
Pepper corn – 2 tea spoons
Coriander seeds – Half tea spoon
Cloves – 3 to 4 nos
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch in size
Green cardamom – 4 to 5 nos
Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon
Goan toddy vinegar – Quarter tea cup
Sliced onion – 1 no
Salt to taste
Olive oil
Turmeric powder – Half tea spoon
Finely chopped onion – 1 no
