Aloo Banda aka Batata Wada- Mom’s recipe ❤

Ingredients:
Boiled potato – 500 grams
Curry leaves ( optional)
Green chillies – 5
1 tsp – Asafoetida ( hing)
1 tsp – Turmeric powder
1 tsp – Cumin seeds ( jeera)
1 tsp – Whole Fennel seeds ( sauf)
1 tsp – Mustard seeds ( rai)
1 tsp – Coriander powder
1 tsp – Garam Masala (Mixed ground spice powder)
1 tsp – Dry mango powder ( Amchur)
Salt as per taste.
Refined cooking oil.

For batter-
2 bowl – Gram Flour ( besan)
A pinch of salt.
Water to make thick batter.
Keep aside for sometime.

Method:

1.Heat a pan with 2 table spoon of oil and put asafoetida, fennel, turmeric, mustard and cumin seeds.

2. Add curry leaves and green chillies and toss it for few seconds.
3. Add boiled mash potatoes and mix it well.
4. Add all the mentioned spices thoroughly and cook the batter at low flame till aroma start coming and it starts looking cooked.
5. Keep it aside to get cool.
6. Make flat balls of batter as shown in the video.
Wrap it with gram flour batter and fry it at low flame.
7. Enjoy with sauce and dippings
