Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies Recipe
Serves 12

¾ cup butter
1½ cups sugar
½ cup baking cocoa
3 large eggs, room temperature
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup chopped walnuts

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp. baking soda
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Line a 9-in. square baking pan that fits in the unit with foil, letting ends extend up sides; grease foil. In a microwave, melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir in sugar and cocoa. Add eggs, 1 at a time,
whisking to blend after each addition. Add flour; stir just until combined. Stir in chopped walnuts. Spread into prepared pan.

Slide the Pizza Rack into Shelf Position 5. Place the baking pan on the Pizza Rack. Turn the Function Dial to Pizza/Bake, set the temperature to 350° and set the timer to 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, for chocolate chip layer, melt butter in another microwave-safe bowl. Stir in brown sugar. Whisk in egg. In a small bowl, whisk flour and baking soda; stir into butter mixture just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. After the brownie layer has baked for 15 minutes, spoon mixture over the hot layer. Set timer for 40 minutes; bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs, 35-40 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Lifting foil, remove brownies from pan. Cut into bars.
