Quiche
This recipe is made by my Cousin sister Sandhy Dasari who visited us recently. This dish is introduced to me by her and I tasted it for the first time. She learnt making Quiche from her Puerto Rican friend. A quiche can be customized to your liking. Keeping the pie crust, eggs & cheese as common. Instead of bacon you can add any meat, or make it meatless by adding lots of vegetables. You can even make it with out eggs if you are a vegetarian. Make it your own. It would surely become a family favorite!
Here is our recipe for the Spinach and Bacon Quiche which is very flavorful and with crispy flaky pie crust it makes it even more tasty .

Ingredients

Pie crust 9 “ inches
Spinach 1 pack ( 2 cups )
Shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup
Bacon 9 slices/ strips
Milk 1 Cup
Eggs 8
Paprika 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Parsley powder 1 tsp
Garlic powder 1 tsp

Preparation

1. Spread bacon strips on a baking pan and bake at 350 Degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes and let it cool. Then crumble.
2. In a mixing bowl add all the eggs , paprika , salt, Garlic powder, parsley, chilly powder, Milk , Blend them together.
3. Spread pie crust on the baking mold and add spinach , bacon pieces , cheddar cheese , and pour the egg mixture on top .
4. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes or until a fork inserted in the middle comes out clean.
5. Remove from the oven and serve it hot & enjoy!
